We’re excited to be able to share the news that K Foley will be sponsoring an award category at this year’s Eastern Daily Press Stars of Norfolk and Waveney Awards.
The team is delighted to be sponsoring the Charity Hero Award and we hope as many people as possible will get involved and nominate someone who works tirelessly for charity.
There’s certainly no shortage of goodwill across our communities, that’s why this is an especially important award category and one that will be tough to judge.
The award is one of 13 categories this year, with extra ones added in celebration of the event’s 10-year anniversary – and in the hope of recognising more people than ever before.
For the past decade, this prestigious award ceremony has celebrated ‘the brightest and best’ of Norfolk and Waveney.
Now, nominations to do it all over again are open and will close on October 16, with finalists announced on Saturday, November 19.
Organisers of the annual ceremony say it aims to recognise acts of kindness, bravery and selflessness in our communities – acts that K Foley wholeheartedly values and is delighted to help shine a light on.
K Foley Ltd CEO Kevin Foley said: “This is a really great event and one that we are only too happy to support. Our communities are the heart of what we do so it’s only fitting that we help to award a charity hero who goes above and beyond to selflessly support others. Often these acts are done quietly, and charity heroes are unsung, but we hope through nominations from the public, we can give something back to someone who truly deserves it.”
As part of the category checklist, award organisers at the Eastern Daily Press are keen to hear about ‘the people who make the charities tick’ who ‘dedicate themselves to the cause’ and go above and beyond as volunteers.
Winners of all categories will be announced at a special ceremony at Norwich Cathedral on December 1.
