Raising money for charities and helping the communities around us is something that means a lot to all of us here at K Foley LTD.
That’s why we’re thrilled to say a big thank you to an amazing team member Wendy Williamson.
Last year Wendy, who is a Customer Experience Leader at the Campbells Meadow restaurant raised almost £2,500 for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) through various raffles and events in store.
Over Christmas, Wendy, who has worked for McDonald’s for just over five years, held a raffle for customers, earning just over £877.
Ronald McDonald Houses are located as close as possible to a specialist children’s hospitals across the UK. This means that families can be by their child’s bedside in a matter of moments, whilst maintaining a degree of normal life and reducing emotional and financial strain.
Last week, Business Manager at the restaurant, Jake Neadley presented Wendy with a gift from the company to thank her for her ongoing charity efforts. He said:
“This is a special thank you to Wendy – she goes above and beyond planning and organising RMHC events at our restaurant. By matching seasonal trends and engaging customers with fun and meaningful activities as they dine with us, we see fantastic success all year round. This is reflected in an annual turnover for events alone of £2454.53 for 2023. We all look forward to seeing her ideas for 2024. Thank you and well done.”
Wendy said:
“I do as much as I can for this charity because it is close to my heart. Family means everything.”
CEO of K Foley LTD, Kevin Foley said:
“We’re all so proud of Wendy. Her dedication to this is really inspirational and the money she helps raise goes a long way to supporting those children and families who are helping by RMHC. A big thanks too, to our generous customers who always dig deep to join in and help others.”
